Pul-Kogi in Lettuce Wraps-Wheat/Gluten Free


Pul-Kogi in Lettuce Wraps

2 lbs beef sirloin sliced thinly 6 Tbsp tamari (wheat/gluten free) 2 Tbsp granulated pure cane sugar

2 Tbsp sesame oil 2-3 green onions chopped 3-4 cloves of garlic minced 1 tsp freshly grated ginger 1 Tbsp toasted sesame seeds (crushed) dash of pepper 4-5 cups cooked Jasmine rice romaine lettuce leaves left whole

Note: this dish can be stir-fried but is best grilled.

Cut meat across grain into this strips.

In a separate bowl combine the tamari, sugar, sesame oil, onions, garlic, ginger, sesame seeds, and pepper.

Now add the sliced beef into a gallon size ziplock bag and pour the marinade over the meat and seal the bag. Place the sealed bag between your hands and with your ngers gently massage the marinade into the meat. when all the beef is covered place the bag into a at pan so the meat can soak in the marinade. refrigerate for at least 2 hours.

Note: the longer you marinate the meat the better it tastes.

Grill the meat or in a wok or large skillet cook over medium to high heat until meat is done.

Serve with rice rolled up in lettuce wraps.
